Wing Development
Detailing and explaining how we created and developed our own wing.

Before we could start designing the wing for the A1 we had to take apart the exisitng rear spoiler and take measurements of it. Based on these we created a partial 3D model of the spoiler.
Measurements

Before designing the wing it was key to model the existing spoiler in order to create wing mounts. Additionally this helped us determine what the mounts of the wing should look like.

With all the measurements taken we initiated the design process with the goal of creating a wing that is both aerodynamically functional as well as suiting to the design of the Audi A1.

Many prototypes, molding, surface treatments and painting later the wing is complete.
